Our Mission

Tama Swim began as a simple dream, to craft timeless swimwear for the conscious woman. Rooted in Sydney’s coastal beauty and made with sustainable Italian fabrics, we make swimwear built to last. At Tama, effortless style meets honest sustainability, without compromise.

Our Mission

Our Story

Our founder, Martina, brings a rich heritage from Italian fashion and Sydney’s shoreline into everything we do. After studying fashion in Florence and nurturing her skills in Sydney, she discovered ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon made from ocean-bound waste, and envisioned a swimwear brand founded on beauty, purpose, and respect. When Martina teamed up with Allie, the original creator of Tama, their aligned vision sparked a brand that honours women, craft, and coastal life. Today, Martina carries that legacy forward, creating swimwear that feels good and does good.

Our Approach

We design our pieces in Sydney and have them thoughtfully produced in small batches in Bali, with plans to bring production even closer to home in Shoalhaven, NSW. We prioritise ethical manufacturing, fair pay, safe working conditions, and reducing our carbon footprint. Our fabrics, made from ECONYL® 78% and 22% elastane, offer sun protection, chlorine resistance, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, because what you put on your skin matters.
